TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This Agreement contains the complete terms and conditions under which Green-Box Storage, LLC. ("GBS") provides services to the Customer.

Definitions

1.      Pickup- The agreed upon date and time between GBS and the Customer, where GBS will take the belongings of the Customer into GBS’ possession.

2.      Service- The overall storage process that includes the pickup, transportation, storage, and drop-off of the Customer’s boxes and other items. Service begins with pickup and ends with drop-off.

3.      Drop-off- The agreed upon date and time between GBS and the Customer, where the Customer will take the belongings from GBS into the Customer’s possession.

4.      Customer- The person that subscribes, purchases, or otherwise uses any GBS service.

5. Item- Box, plastic bin, mini fridge or any other item that is listed on the Pricing page of website. This does not include items that are placed inside of each box, plastic bin etc.

6. Website- Any website owned and operated by GBS, including but not limited to www.greenboxstorage.org, www.greenboxaccount.org, or www.greenbox-pricing.onrender.com.

Please note that GBS reserves the right to amend any portion of the Terms and Conditions from time to time in our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Website following the posting of revised Terms and Conditions means that you accept and agree to the changes. You are expected to check this page from time to time so you are aware of any changes, as they are binding on you.

The storage service provided by GBS includes the pickup, transportation, storage, and drop-off of the Customer’s boxes and other items. The Customer recognizes that only loss or damage caused by GBS will be covered by the GBS insurance policy. Only visible physical damage to the exterior of the item will activate any insurance claim on the item. The Customer agrees that they will not store any items that are prohibited by law or regulations of any federal, state, provincial, or local government in the U.S. GBS will not store packages containing liquids, and the Customer acknowledges that they are liable for any damage their storage contents may inflict on the property of others. GBS reserves the right to open and search any package to ensure that the enclosed items comply with the Terms and Conditions. GBS reserves the right to refuse to store of any package at its sole discretion. The Customer agrees to pay the cost of the service after their items are picked up. The Customer agrees to pay any applicable fees as specified in the Terms and Conditions. The Customer hereby authorizes GBS to charge their credit card or bank account for any fee that may be incurred based on these Terms and Conditions. By accepting these Terms and using GBS services, the Customer agrees to authorize GBS to automatically charge the Customer's provided credit card for all charges related to the Services, including but not limited to storage fees, shipping fees, additional fees, and any other applicable charges. This auto-charge authorization shall remain in effect for the duration of the Customer's use of GBS services. The Customer may be subject to a 3% credit card processing fee depending on the state of the Customer. Checks and cash are not accepted as forms of payment for the services provided by GBS. The Customer acknowledges that there is a four minimum month billable storage length which means that Customer elects to have items stored for less than four months, the Customer will still be responsible for paying for four months of storage. However, if the Customer contacts GBS and requests short term storage (less than 1 month), the Customer will be charged either $150 or the total amount for the Customer’s items to be stored for one month, whichever is greater. The Customer acknowledges that they remain indebted to GBS for any balance owed on their account as a result of invalid credit card information, GBS's inability to receive credit card or check charge authorizations, or for any other reason which prevents GBS from being paid for the services and any additional fees. If the Customer has failed to pay the charges for the services or any additional fees prior to the date of scheduled delivery of packages, GBS reserves the right to hold the Customer's possessions until payment has been received in full. The Customer acknowledges that their failure to pay their account in full prior to the delivery date could result in a change in the delivery date and the assessment of additional fees. The Customer acknowledges that Greenbox does not pro-rate monthly storage fees. For example, if the Customer requests that Greenbox stores the Customer’s item for longer than six months but less than seven months, the Customer will be charged for seven months of storage. This non pro-ration policy applies to every month that Greenbox stores the Customer’s items. The Customer acknowledges that the released value of each box or unboxed item stored using GBS’ service is no greater than $100. The Customer agrees that GBS' liability is limited to $100 per item. You agree that the released value of all items is no greater than $600 and that GBS’ liability on all items is restricted to $600. The Customer agrees to; be present during the specified pickup period as determined by GBS, be present during the specified drop-off period as determined by GBS, take all necessary steps to communicate with GBS to ensure the pickup and drop-off processes run smoothly. The Customer realizes that GBS’ may change the drop-off in good faith, and agrees to continue paying the storage cost until their belongings are successfully returned. The Customer understands that they will have no access to their stored items at any point during the service period. The Customer acknowledges that they will not be able to cancel the service at any point while their belongings are in the possession of GBS. The “service period” is defined as the requested pickup date and the requested drop off date, as per the information provided from the Customer, either on the Greenbox website, Order Portal, or through any communication with a Greenbox reprepresentative. If the customer cancels their order less than 6 days before their belongings are scheduled to be picked up by GBS, the customer may be subject to a “Cancellation Fee” of up to $45. If the Customer cancels their order less than 6 days before their universities’ Main Pickup Day, as advertised on the Greenbox Storage website, GBS will not refund the $25 Storage Reservation Fee and if the Customer. For example, if the Customer’s university’s Main Pickup Day is May 15th, the last day to receive a refund for a Storage Reservation is May 9th. In order to receive a refund, the Customer must have a phone conversation with a customer service employee from Greenbox Storage. If the Customer must have a pickup or drop-off date that is not an option on the GBS website, they may be subject to a “Custom Pick Up/Drop Off Fee” up to $59. If the Customer is not present during any pickup or drop-off, they may be subject to “No Show Fee” up to $75. The Customer grants GBS the permission to take their belongings to storage facility at the sole discretion of GBS. If the customer must change their pickup or drop-off date or time, they must do so greater than 5 days before their belongings are scheduled to be picked up or dropped off by GBS. Any change within the aforementioned 5 day period may incur a “Late Pickup Change Fee” or “Late Drop Off Change Fee” up to $75. Additionally, GBS reserves the right to refuse any request to change the Customer’s pickup date or drop-off date at GBS’ sole discretion. If the Customer does not pay their first invoice, any monthly fee, or any other fee by the due date specified, they may be liable to a “Late Payment Fee” which is comprised of a flat $25 fee plus $5 per day the payment is outstanding. If the Customer’s items are not outside their residence at the time of their scheduled pickup, and GBS employees must enter the Customer’s residence to retrieve items that are to be stored / shipped, the Customer may be subject to a $19 / item Room Service Fee for the items that any GBS employees retrieve. The Customer acknowledges that GBS will not be held liable for any damage to the Customer’s belongings before pickup occurs or after drop-off occurs. If there is a circumstance where the Customer does not respond to GBS’ attempts to contact the Customer during drop-off, GBS will retain the customer’s belongings for 30 days. If the Customer does not contact GBS within 30 days after the scheduled drop-off and receive their belongings, the Customer agrees that the belongings will become permanent possession of GBS with which GBS has the sole discretion to do what it pleases with the belongings and the Customer may be subject to a $125 fee. The Customer hereby agrees to assume all risk of loss, including damage or loss by burglary, fire, vandalism or vermin. The Customer acknowledges that the GBS Insurance Policy does not cover cash, jewelry, coins, damage to electronic equipment, collectibles, mirrors or other frail items, improperly packed items, concealed damage, unpacked items (eg. Bicycles, televisions, furniture, golf clubs etc.). The Customer’s items will be stored at a third-party storage facility selected at the sole discretion of GBS. These storage facilities are not climate controlled. The GBS insurance policy does not cover any damage of goods relating to storing any items below or above its recommended temperature. The Customer acknowledges that GBS will not be held liable for any damage that may occur to items inside a box or packaging without evidence of damage to the outside of the box or packaging. All insurance coverage is expressly limited to the period that the Customer’s belongings are in the custody of GBS. Any damaged cartons must be inspected in the presence of a GBS representative at the time of drop-off to confirm damage. All damaged boxes must be opened at the time of delivery, at which time the GBS representative will document the damage. For loss of stored packages, the Customer must notify the GBS representative of the loss at the time of delivery of the other packages. The Customer agrees to first claim any loss against any insurance carried by the Customer or the Customer's parents, if available. Except as specifically provided in this Agreement, the Customer waives any claims for damage or loss of any article against GBS and its employees. The Customer hereby authorizes GBS to charge the Customer-provided credit card or bank account for the balance owing for the services rendered and any additional fees. The Customer expressly releases and holds GBS, and its agents and employees harmless from any and all costs of processing any claim or defending any claim arising from this Agreement. The Customer expressly acknowledges that GBS is not a professional storer, mover or common carrier and waives the right to hold GBS to any laws or standards governing storers, movers or carriers.
